Documents required for filing a design application

1.Drawings or Photographs (front view, rear view, top view, bottom view, left view & right view, and a perspective view (if available): The size of drawings or photographs should be no smaller than 3cm×8cm, nor larger than 15cm×22cm;

2. Brief Description (if necessary): The brief description indicates the main creative portion of the design, the colors for which protection is sought and the omission of the view of the product;

3. Instruction letter, indicating: names and addresses of applicants and the designers; the prior date and the prior number of the application and the country in which the application was filed, if the priority is claimed.

4.Power of Attorney, signed by the applicant (Notarization or legalization is not required); It can be late filed;

5.Certified copy of the prior application, if a priority is claimed. Priority document must be submitted to the State Intellectual Property Office of China (CSIPO) within three months from the date of filing in P. R. China;

6.Assignment of priority right, if the applicant in China differs from that of the prior application.
